Got up before 10 a.m as planed! That was a good start! Mr.Rabbit and I was on our way to downtown D.C. before 11:30 a.m. There were still a lot for us to see.
We stopped at the Dunking Donuts again for breakfast. Mr.Rabbit ordered a new item which he saw yesterday but didn't order. It is the roast beef with creamy dijon pretzel roll bakery sandwich. It looked so good on the poster but the real thing was this sad looking little sandwich. A total false advertisement. At least, it tasted alright. Mr.Rabbit didn't complaint much.

We wanted to go to the Newseum again today, but we forget to bring our tickets with us. So, Mr.Rabbit went to The national air and space museum again to finish it, and I went to the east wing of the National Gallery of Art.
The East wing of the National Gallery of Art is most contemporary art. The arts in the west wing is more acceptable for most people and more understandable. But the east wing's contemporary art is very questionable and not everyone would appreciated. I too had moment which I just pass by an art fast because it doesn't make sense to me, it didn't speak to me.
But there was special exhibit of Diaghilev (founder of the Ballets Russes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergei_Diaghilev) and Nijinsky (Russian ballet dancer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaslav_Nijinsky). It was very interesting to know their story, also the music, dance, fashion and art behind it. And I learned Pablo Picasso and Coco Chanel both did costume design for Ballets Russes. You just never know what you might learn from a museum.

Mr.Rabbit and I met at 2 pm for lunch. The best place to go lunch was actually in The museum of American Indian because they have the American Indian food. We basically just went there for the food. The food was good but expensive. I had salmon with squash, a very soft corn bread with egg, and pine nut tartar. Mr.Rabbit had tapioca with guava jam dessert and American Indian taco which was good. The total cost of more than $50. Well...at least they were good.
The rest of the museum was not as good as I thought it might be. Kind of boring and they did poor job introduce the history and culture. We left there in a hour.

It was around 5 pm. We decided to just walk around the mall and walk in whatever museum comes up next. We went to 2 more museums: The art and concept museum, the nature history museum. Both museums were interesting, we didn't have enough time to see everything. I really think we need a whole day, a good 5-8 hours for each museum in D.C..
When all the museums closed after 7:30 pm. Mr.Rabbit and I decided to go to Chinatown for dinner since it was the closest place to go that we know for sure to have food. Once we got there, I decided to go into a store to check out some clothes. And, out of nowhere, the rain started to fall like waterfall!!! It was crazy. The whole street was flooded in a short 10 mins. Mr.Rabbit had 2 raincoats with him. We put the raincoats on and ran to the restaurant which we planed to go. Man, we were still wet! It was both fun and stressful! But, after all, we had a great meal with almost half price of lunch.
Tomorrow will be the last day in D.C.. I feel sad the vacation is about to be over. I am having so much fun with Mr.Rabbit and the museums! I think I will going to different museums in NY too after come back.
